A comprehensive overview of the creative and technical aspects of the post-production process.

This workshop introduces students to the post production process for film and television. Students explore the role of the post production supervisor, editors and other members of the post team.

We’ll discuss the elements of video editing, sound engineering and editing, computer graphics (CG) special effects and how the different artists and professionals work together. By the end of the week students will know what the available non-linear-editing formats are and understand the various elements of sound, from dialogue and ADR to foley and music, and effects. We’ll also look at how new technologies continue to impact post-production

The workshop will also examine the implications of post production on the overall production schedule and budget as well as the role it holds in achieving the director’s vision.

Please note that this is not an editing workshop.
