Everyone has family history shelved in his or her memory waiting to be set free. The challenge is getting started, luring the story out. What to put in? Where to start? How to shape the story? These are questions discussed during this one week creative non-fiction prose writing workshop. Students will not only tell stories from their lives, they will address the challenges sharing family history. One doesn’t have to be a professional writer to succeed. The memoir process may prove therapeutic for the writer and for future generations to come. You can simply write the memoir for yourself or write for the world to read. The choice is yours.
