More than simply push information outward, good writer/producers connect with their audiences, build awareness and tell a compelling story that’s fresh, powerful and engaging, no matter what the medium.
The key to it all is creativity and inspiration.
Designed for communicators (writers and multimedia producers) working in corporate and government settings, this one-week course gives you the tools and inspiration you’ll need to create exciting and compelling stories that speak to your audience and makes your role more valuable to your organization.
The course gives an in depth look into the writer/producer’s role in video production, with formal lectures, creative exercises, and hands-on assignments (including a project for a real client) that take the class from concept to rough draft. You’ll learn the nuances of writing for new and traditional media, do an “extreme” PowerPoint makeover, explore social media trends and best practices, and participate in brainstorming and writing exercises (in and outside of the classroom) that will take your thinking out of the cubicle to a whole new level. Bring work in progress and/or project ideas to share with instructors and the class.
