Basic Video Production II

Week two in a comprehensive introduction to the many aspects and processes of professional video production

Tim Broekema

Week II will draw on many of the basic skill sets learned in week I and will begin to apply them in "real world" situations. Students will be responsible for developing a short creative script, location scout, field shooting, lighting and post production of a short story.

All of the previous week's skill sets form the basis for this week which students begin to apply and develop them further as obstacles are presented before them along the production process. A truly unique hands on approach in a dynamic environment, working and collaborating with fellow students. Students explore the use of DSLR cameras as a storytelling tool and the use of equipment allowing the camera more freedom to tell that story with regard to motion. Students develop the arc of a short story during the post production process.
