Photoshop for Video
Photoshop is not just for photographers; it contains a powerful toolset that editors can incorporate into their digital video workflow. This workshop covers the fundamental features of Adobe Photoshop as they apply to videographers. Students learn about masking as well as different types of alpha channels for applying transparency effects to graphics and video. Advanced font styling and text effects can be used to implement title design, and students learn how to get graphics and video in and out of the Photoshop files. With a variety of video formats now utilized for web and broadcast there is an important need to understand progressive frames and interlacing, image size and pixel aspect ratio, each of which is covered in lectures and hands-on demonstrations. Another feature of Photoshop is the ability to apply color-correction and toning tools to video; students learn how to optimize video images with adjustment layers, smart objects, and smart filters. Other features such as animations, cloning and the clone source palette, vanishing point and Photoshop actions are all covered in this intensive one-week workshop. This workshop is for students who are familiar with the post-production process and have at least minimal experience with Adobe Photoshop.
