Lead Cook
The Maine Media Workshops is seeking a Lead Cook that is energetic and service-oriented to join its dining services team. The right candidate will assist with the daily operation of the dining facility, have the ability to work independently to prepare meals for students, faculty, and staff ranging from 75-200 people, in an efficient and visually pleasing manner, ensure proper display of buffet items, and work safely at all times.
Schedule will be Monday-Friday and will include one weekend shift.
This position is available May thru early October with the potential to extend to a later date.
Ability to maintain speed in meal production (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner) while ensuring high quality food. Ability to follow instruction and complete tasks safely and efficiently. Friendly people skills specifically the ability to interact appropriately with students, faculty, and staff. Should be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years experience cooking in a restaurant or resort. Culinary Arts education preferred.
Rate will be based upon experience.
Kitchen Staff
Prep Cooks, Dishwashers, etc. needed in our campus dining facility. Employment Dates will vary depending upon position. Rate: Based on Experience
