Marketing Intern

For the summer of 2014, Maine Media Workshops' Marketing Department is looking for an enthusiastic person ready to dive right in and explore every aspect of  the workshops. You will help document the summer by keeping up our blog, posting images to instagram, designing materials, and support the marketing director in a myriad initiatives. This position is extremely flexible, fun, and full of real work. If you are psyched to work with a creative team, are a solid writer, and looking for an experience that will completely change the way you view marketing, then submit your resume today. InDesign experience preferred.

IT Intern

The IT Intern will work with the IT Manager and should have good working knowledge of computers, both PC and Macs.  He or she will also be a problem solver and a team player, able to lift 30 lbs.  During part of the week, duties will include helping with print packet preparation, website updates and image/video asset management. Required weekend hours will include computer lab hardware and software setup. This is an excellent opportunity to learn many aspects of digital information management in the workflow of a fast-paced educational institution.

Gallery Intern

The gallery intern assists the gallery manager in all aspects of the gallery. Responsibilities include gallery sitting, running the register, installing and deinstalling gallery exhibits, tracking inventory, social media, and general upkeep of the gallery space. The intern will gain administrative experience in gallery management. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently is necessary.

Development Intern

The development intern will be involved in fundraising and friend-raising events, donor communications and annual appeals, and student and alumni outreach efforts. The intern will also assist with grant proposals and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills. MMW offers dynamic place to work, a great opportunity to network with creative artists and community members, and a chance to learn about non-profit development. This position does not offer housing.

Administration/Student Services Intern

The Admin and Student Services intern will split their time between each department. Tasks will include assisting with all mailroom and shipping functions of the school, participation in weekly student welcome and registration, manning the help/library desk as needed, and the sale and inventory of store merchandise. The intern will also be involved in other office tasks and research projects as needed. Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task, have general knowledge of commonly used office equipment, and bring a positive outlook to each task. Must hold a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
