ROCKPORT: Monday and Tuesday evenings beginning at 7:30 pm in the Rockport Opera House Maine Media Workshops + College continues its Masters Series. On Monday, July 16, join Sam Abell and Arthur Meyerson and on Tuesday, July 17, join Joyce Tenneson, Sean Kernan and Bob Sacha for art and conversation that will ignite your creativity!

Monday – Arthur Meyerson, an award-winning photographer, travels the world photographing for advertising, corporate and editorial clients. A three-time winner of Adweek’s “Southwest Photographer of the Year” award, he is on Communication World’s list of the world’s top 10 corporate photographers and was named one of the 30 best advertising photographers by American Photo.

Monday – Sam Abell is one of today’s most experienced and accomplished teachers and photographers. From 1970 to 2005, Sam worked for National Geographic and in 1990, his work was the subject of a one-person exhibition at the International Center of Photography in New York. Sam has published three collections of work: Seeing Gardens, Sam Abell: The Photographic Life, and The Life of a Photograph.

Tuesday – Joyce Tenneson is among the most respected photographers of our time. Her work has been shown in exhibitions worldwide and is part of numerous private and museum collections. American Photo Magazine readers voted Tenneson among the ten most influential women in the history of photography. The Lucie Awards named Joyce Tenneson Fine Art Photographer of the Year 2005.

Tuesday – Sean Kernan runs a successful studio, teaches, writes and lectures on creativity and photography. His unusual approach to teaching uses a series of experiential exercises that take photographers back their creative beginnings. Sean has been honored for this work, which has been exhibited in the US, France, Mexico, Greece, Korea and Italy and published in numerous periodicals.

Tuesday – Bob Sacha is an award-winning photographer, multimedia producer, documentary filmmaker, editor and teacher. As a photographer for Life and National Geographic Magazine, Bob covered a variety of assignments around the world for more than 25 years. He teaches and consults worldwide on documentary storytelling and new media for the Internet.
