May 26, 2011 – The Maine Media Workshops + College Annual Open House, featuring free family portraits, is set for Sunday, June 12 from 11AM - 2PM at the school’s 70 Camden Street campus in Rockport.
Maine Media’s film sound stage is transformed into a high-tech photography studio for the day, and the community is invited for free portrait sessions, refreshments under the dining tent, and campus tours. Workshops faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions about the Maine Media’s educational programs, facilities, and special summer events.
Thanks to the support of Bangor Savings Bank and Maine.the Magazine, the Open House is free and open to the public.
Now in its 39th year, Maine Media Workshops offers over 450 workshops for photographers, filmmakers, and media artists throughout the year. Programs are available for absolute beginners, serious amateurs, working professionals, and high school and college students. A 30-week Professional Certificate program and a three-year low-residency MFA degree program are available through Maine Media College.
Campus tours are also available throughout the summer on Thursday afternoons at 1PM.
