Portland's newest gallery, devoted to exhibiting photographs and works on paper by Maine related artists, will open on February 14. Located in the former site of the Addison Woolley Gallery, PhoPa is a collaboration between photographer Jon Edwards, independent curator Bruce Brown, and Maine Media Workshops + College. Be sure to join us for PhoPa's debut exhibition, Melonie Bennett's Bad Ass. Bennett, an award-winning photographer and Maine Media alum, will present her collection of photographs documenting life in the Portland club scene as well as a raucous week-long Caribbean cruise with Kid Rock and his band at PhoPa's Grand Opening & Artist's Reception on Thursday, February 14th from 5-8pm.
