Thea Kluge Rossi

Thea is currently the Creative Director of Dom & Tom Inc, an interactive agency based out of New York and Chicago. 

She maintains a loyal base of clients with her company Dot & Smudge LLC, and was the creative director of the New York-based startup Wanderfly. 

Previously, she was an Art Director at Funny Garbage, from 2007–2010, where she worked on large-scale interactive projects. In addition to Art Direction and Design, she took on the role of Information Architect. Prior to joining FG, she was an Art Director at Inc Design, where she worked with Fortune 500 companies and other corporate clients on annual reports, advertisements, print materials, and websites. 

She studied graphic design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Basel, Switzerland, and graduated with a BFA from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in Manhattan. At Cooper, she concentrated in graphic arts, video, and animation. In Basel she studied typography and structure with the masters, including Wolfgang Weingart.

Several sites Thea designed have received Webby Nominations. In 2009, one site was a Webby Official Honoree (nyc-arts.org) and one received an Interactive Media Award (landmarks.utexas.edu). In 2004, she was named one of the “Top Young Designers in New York” by the Art Directors Club. That year, she received the Lubalin Fellowship, which funded her exhibit about the role of the computer in design.
