Suzanne Opton’s Soldier billboards, appearing in six states in 2008, received extensive press coverage and sparked a heated debate about art and our image of the military.  Suzanne’s photographs are included in the permanent collections of the Austin Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Cleveland Museum, Library of Congress, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Polaroid Collection, Portland Museum, and the Musee de l’Elysee, Lausanne and the Yale Art Gallery.

Suzanne’s work has been published in Barron’s, Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, Smart Money, etc.  She received a Guggenheim Fellowship 2009, and has been the recipient of grants from the Fledgling Fund, Cummings Foundation, NYFA and NEA.  She was a MacDowell Colony fellow in 2007.
