Susan Rucci is a seasoned network news producer who has worked for CBS News, Retirement Living TV and Good Morning America.
She has covered many news stories of national significance over the last two decades from the OJ Simpson murder trial to the Columbine school shootings to the 2000 George W. Bush presidential campaign and contested election results. Most recently, Susan produced day-of-air news and feature profile pieces on the 2008 presidential campaign, including a three part series, “The Passions and Fashions of the Potential First Ladies.”
Susan’s work has been honored with an NABJ award for her profile of President Clinton’s portrait artist. In 2007, she won a regional Emmy for a half hour special she enterprised, produced and wrote on medical marijuana and senior citizens. Susan is well versed in the use of social media like Twitter and Facebook.
She has a journalism degree from Boston University. Susan was the Knight Wallace broadcast journalism fellow at University of Michigan from 2009 thru 2010. She studied aging and retirement issues for Generation X.
