Stephen Webster is a photographer and photo-illustrator, who has been creating concept-driven imagery since he opened his studio, the Worldwide Hideout, in 1991. Influenced by his studies in graphic design as well as photography, Stephen creates images used by advertising, corporate, and editorial clients internationally. Early in his career, Stephen pioneered using small plastic toys, saturated color, and pop culture references as metaphors, gaining him a national reputation and major editorial assignments. With continued experimentation and growth, Stephen has expanded beyond the still life restrictions to include people merged into his landscapes. The focus of much of Stephen’s visual irony is corporate culture and is embraced by financial, technology, communications and other corporate institutions the world over. With over 200 magazines as clients and many successful advertising campaigns, Stephen’s work continues to thrive from his studio in a small former church in Columbus, Ohio.
