Norman Mauskopf

Norman Mauskopf is the recipient of a W. Eugene Smith Fellowship and has had three books of his photographs published. The most recent, A Time Not Here, focuses on African-American life in Mississippi and was described as "a focused documentary of astonishing beauty." His first book, Rodeo, captured the life of rodeo cowboys while the second book, Dark Horses, focused on the world of thoroughbred horse racing. A forthcoming book, Descendents, will document the Hispanic Culture of Northern New Mexico. Norman's photographs have been included in solo and group exhibitions including two shows at the International Festival of Photojournalism in Perpignan, France. Norman has worked for a variety of magazine and corporate clients and has been a dedicated photographic educator for over twenty-five years.
