Matt Perez is a film and television editor located in Hope, ME, as well as an active member in the music community in the area. Perez has worked on various short narrative films, documentaries, and music videos. His film and television editing recently took him to Colorado where he worked for a media company on the western slope. Perez also recently edited a promotional video for The Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams),
and edited the opening sequence and two other key scenes in the independent feature film The Wrong House. He is currently the Post Production Supervisor/Editor for Castine Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in online training content.
Perez studied Jazz and Contemporary music at the University of Maine and continued his education with a Professional Certificate in Filmmaking at the Maine Media College.
When not editing, Perez can be found traveling. In the fall/winter of 2009, you could find him in Nashville, Tenn., Tampa Bay, FL & Omaha, NE. In January 2010, he will spend a month abroad, traveling to Istanbul, Cairo, London & Dublin.
