Matt has honed his production skills with over 15 years of video and motion graphics experience. In the early 90s, he helped pioneer interactive media in the Providence, RI area working as an animator and interactive designer at the prestigous Spot Interactive. Currently, Matt is owner and creative director of Johnny Animation Inc, a full-service motion graphics, animation and video production company. Since it’s inception in 1996, he has worked with such varied clients as 20th Century Fox, Brown University, Sharp Electronics, Swiss Army, American Power Conversion, The Discovery Channel, and AARP. Most recently, he has produced interactive HD animations for Schneider Electric, animated cartoon spots for Cardi's Furniture, and animated marketing materials for Two Guys Garage and Truck U on the Speed channel.
Matt is the former co-host of the MassMUG podcast, the current host of the Suite202Cast podcast, and is a 3-year veteran filmmaker in the 48 Hour Film Project competition, whose film Xaeptactrophorp won "Best Visual Effects" and "Best Sound Design", in 2010. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Mac Users Group, the National Association of Broadcasters, and the Providence Geeks, and has written for Movie Maker Magazine.
As an instructor, he has designed, created, and instructed courses in Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Video Streaming, Flash, and Digital Filmmaking. He has also provided on-site corporate training in Flash and Photoshop, and conducts week- long workshops in Adobe After Effects at the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, ME.
