Matt Ford is a multimedia journalist at the Associated Press. As an all-platform producer, Ford has created media rich interactive environments for the AP’s bureau in Washington D.C.
Ford has shot and edited documentary video covering topics including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the 2008 election and the current health care debate. His work has been honored by the Society of News Design, The Webby Awards and the APME.
Ford studied journalism at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and the Pennsylvania State University.
Before working in journalism, Ford studied film at York University in Toronto, Canada, and worked in the Los Angeles film industry as a set and studio lighting technician. He has done lighting for Along Came Polly, Spiderman 2, West Wing, and Alias.
