Julia Reichert is a three-time Academy Award nominee, and producer/director of award winning documentaries, including THE LAST TRUCK: CLOSING OF A GM PLANT, A LION IN THE HOUSE, SEEING RED, UNION MAIDS and GROWING UP FEMALE. Her work has screened world wide, in film festivals, theaters and television. She is co-founder of the filmmaker-run distribution co-operative New Day Films. Reichert is winner of the Primetime Emmy award for Exceptional Merit in Nonfiction Film, and she is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. Julia has also been teaching documentary for over 25 years.
