A psychology major turned photographer and educator, John Hirsch received a professional certificate in photography from The Maine Photographic Workshops in 2002. He has taught photography workshops in Maine and Boston and is presently teaching at Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, MA. John's work is rooted in a documentary style, illuminating quiet moments in emergent or changing societies as well as allowing us to probe and reflect on the ideas of community and recreation in the American psyche.
