Jim Ziegler is addicted to start up. One of his first jobs was as part of a team that transitioned a local PBS station from a high school basement to a state of the art multi-studio facility. From there he joined the team that developed the Evening Magazine series and went on to launch the syndicated PM Magazine spin-off.
Next stop was Los Angeles and the launch of Entertainment Tonight. There Jim worked as segment director, writer, and supervising producer. After 12 years, Jim co-founded an independent production company which produced several reality series, specials, and pilots. That company also helped launch one of the earliest web-based video newscasts. He also consulted for several internet start-ups. Next came work as a freelance Line Producer and Executive in Charge. In that capacity Jim has produced dozens of series and pilots for Comedy Central, Fox, and Sony. Series include Weekends at the DL, Chocolate News, Sports Show with Norm MacDonald. Specials include Demetri Martin, Person and Carlos Mencia, No Strings Attached. The common denominator for all the projects. They were fun and challenging and each program was built from scratch.
