Having graduated from university in America with degrees in Fine Arts (concentrating on Photography) and Literature, Erin moved to London in 1995 to pursue a career in photography. Hired by two photographers to sell their work, Erin developed the Axiom Photographic Agency specializing in a unique brand of high-quality travel photography. Erin quickly developed the company adding more photographers, gaining a reputation for tightly-edited, creative travel images which attracted a client base now including British Airways, National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, Condé Nast Traveller, Land Rover, The Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, Airmiles, The BBC, Sky TV, Rough Guides, Vogue, and Harpers Bazaar, as well as other leading newspapers, magazines and book publishers.

Today Axiom is the leading travel photographic agency in England, representing over 120 photographers worldwide. Acting as both a picture library and commissioning agency, Axiom supplies images to top editorial, corporate, advertising, and design clients around the world. With an archive of over half a million photographs, the collection is incredibly diverse, from notable contributing photographers including Ian Cumming, Chris Caldicott, Timothy Allen, Jenny Acheson, Chris Coe and Jeremy Hunter. The Axiom collection has grown to be represented by Getty Images and other leading distributors worldwide.

Over twelve years later, as managing director of Axiom Photographic Agency, Erin is determined to keep the integrity of the Axiom brand by continuing to edit all submissions herself, strives for quality over quantity, and nurtures emerging photographic talent. As judge for the Travel Photographer of the Year competition for the past couple of years, Erin has particularly enjoyed evaluating some of the non-professional categories. Although Axiom accepts few new photographers each year, she welcomes submissions from all walks of life. Erin strongly believes that the pictures should speak for themselves - whether one is an award-winning photojournalist, or a keen amateur.
