Dee Peppe

Dee Peppe, photographer and educator, began her formal education in photography at the Maine Photographic Workshops in 1982. Thereafter she became a staff member as a teaching assistant, B&W darkroom manager, and faculty in the year round programs. Dee is the founder and director of the Community Darkrooms in Rockland, Maine which offers photographic education and darkroom rentals to students of all ages.

Dee received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design and has been teaching photography for 20 years. She is currently on the faculty at the University of Maine. As a fine art photographer, she has been exhibiting her work nationally for 25 years and her work is in the permanent collection at the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Museum of Art at Colby College, and numerous private collections.
