Constantine Manos is a member of Magnum Photos. He has photographed extensively in both B&W and color and is a master in both media. His work has appeared in LIFE, Esquire and Sports Illustrated and he is represented in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Houston Museum of Art and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. Costa is the author of five books: Portrait of a Symphony, A Greek Portfolio, The Bostonians, Athens, and, his most recent, American Color. A new edition of A Greek Portfolio was published in the fall of 1999. He is the winner of the Leica Medal of Excellence for 2003. This is Costa's eighteenth summer at The Workshops.
