Bob Krist is a freelance photographer whose work appears regularly in magazines such as National Geographic Traveler, Islands, and Smithsonian. He is contributing editor at both National Geographic Traveler and Outdoor Photographer magazines. His books include: A Photo Tour of New York, Caribbean and Secrets of Lighting on Location. His how-to book, Spirit of Place: The Art of Professional Travel Photography, was hailed by American Photographer magazine as "simply the best book about travel photography we've ever read." His coffeetable book "In Tuscany" with author Frances Mayes, spent a month on the NY Times bestseller list. Bob is a great workshop leader; enthusiastic, knowledgeable and sensitive to student needs. This will be his twenty-fifth year at The Workshops.
From one of Bob's students:
"Bob Krist is an amazing photographer, but I think he is an even better instructor. I learned more in a week than I usually do in a semester of photography courses."
