Veteran production executive Andi Isaacs has recently created her own film production and consulting firm, 320 Films. She has begun to build an international client base, to include Castel Studios in Romania and the UK Production Guild, in addition to working with several independent producers and production companies in both Los Angeles and the UK.
Isaacs previously served as the Executive Vice President and Head of Physical Production for one of the film industry’s highly successful independent studios, Summit Entertainment, from its inception in 2006 until it’s sale to Lionsgate in 2012. Capitalizing on Summit’s modern view of a studio and its processes, Isaacs used this platform as a way to make adjustments to traditional studio practices as well as mentoring the next generation of executives in the feature film production arena.
Throughout her career Isaacs has believed in training and mentoring young people in the art of physical production. It is her belief that the best way to build a team that you can trust and task with a tremendous workload is to spend time with a person in the formative years of their career instilling the key principals necessary for production success. These individuals then tend to move up, feel good about their progress in their own career and stay dedicated and challenged, making for a stronger and a happier staff. Many of her accounting assistants are now accountants or production managers, her POC’s are production managers and line producers and her initial staff at Summit have all reached VP and director positions.
Prior to joining Summit Isaacs spent almost two decades being an “industry go to person” when it came to challenging film productions or those that needed a new hand to guide an in-process production to the finish. She filled this role in various production related capacities for Walt Disney Pictures during her tenure from 2003 through 2006, and as freelancer in all areas of production both domestically and internationally including production supervisor, accountant, and studio representative for both independent and major studios.
Some recent notable films that can be found on Isaacs’ resume include NOW YOU SEE ME, WARM BODIES, RED, TWILIGHT, NEW MOON, ECLIPSE, BREAKING DAWN 1 AND 2 (THE TWILIGHT SAGA), LETTERS TO JULIET, KNOWING, IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2 AND 3, NATIONAL TREASURE, KING ARTHUR, SOMEONE LIKE YOU, ANNA AND THE KING, THE PACIFIER, THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, PHILADELPHIA AND SCENT OF A WOMAN.
