Amy received her B.A. in photography from The George Washington University in 1990.  After receiving her M.F.A in Photography from Maine Media College in 2001, Amy started Amy Wilton Photography, which specializes in personal portrait, wedding, advertising, editorial photography.  Her images have been seen in many local and national magazines including Rolling Stone.   Amy’s high-end wedding work takes her throughout the US and Europe.

Amy’s passion is making portraits that reveal the sitter’s true self, a deeper and more intimate image where honesty is the first priority.  She also loves to teach photography (or anything else), and has been doing so for 20 years; she is addicted to those “light bulb” moments.

In the fall of 2008, her first book, A Passion for Sea Glass, Downeast Press, was published.  She also has a self-published book of personal work called A Child Within.  She is represented by Vox Photographs, Portland, Maine, and Heather Hearst, LLC, Camden, Maine.

Amy currently lives with her husband, two cheeky children and their big dog in Hope, Maine, USA, and spends her free time playing with her kids, hiking with her husband or rowing and training for triathlons.
