Suzi Piker is an awarding-winning digital journalist, producer and storyteller with over 14 years of experience.
Suzi served as multimedia producer for the Portland Press Herald / Maine Sunday Telegram, where she specialized in audio, video and digital project production. In 2011, she won two First-Place NEAPNEA awards for multimedia project presentation. Before moving to Maine, Suzi was Online Editor at Boston magazine.
In October 2011, Suzi left the Portland Press Herald to chart new ground as the first Chief Storyteller at United Way of Greater Portland. At UWGP, Suzi creates audio and video stories that engage the community and reflect the work of the organization.
A graduate of the radio documentary program at the SALT Institute for Documentary Studies, her audio work has appeared on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” In 2008, her collaborative documentary film “Let’s Make a Deal” won First Place in the Portland Phoenix Short Film Festival. She has taught audio editing at WMPG in Portland, Maine, as well as basic audio and multimedia production techniques to photography and writing students at the SALT Institute.
