Michael Roemer Presents Two Indie Films June 22 & 23

June 22, 2011 to June 23, 2011

Born in Berlin, Germany in 1928, Michael Roemer has produced, directed and written dozens of films. These have been shown and won prizes at the Venice, London, New York, Cannes, Toronto and Bergamo film festivals. An Emmy award nominee, Michael continues to teach at Yale University. This summer, on the occasion of the DVD release of seven of Michael's films, he comes to the Workshops to screen two of these films that were shot 20 years apart and represent very different aspects of our lives. Following the screenings, Michael leads a discussion in response to questions from the audience. Plan on coming to both evenings as the discussion bridges both days.

This event takes place Wednesday and Thursday, June 22 and 23, at 8 pm each night at Maine Media Workshops' Union Hall Theatre, 2 Central Street in Rockport, Maine.
