Faculty Presentations June 13-15

Faculty Presentations the week of June 13 will take place at Union Hall Theatre, 2 Central Street in Rockport Village at 7:30pm.

Maine Media Workshops welcomes the community to spend the evening Monday, June 13 starting at 7:30pm, with photographer and MMW instructor Andrea Modica. Andrea is one of photography's most important image-makers. Her work has been exhibited across the country and is in many collections, such as The Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. A MFA graduate of Yale University, she is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship among many other prestigious awards. Andrea's work has been featured in many magazines.

This same evening, photographer and MMW instructor Allen Rokach also presents.  Allen is a preeminent nature, garden, travel and location photographer whose 30-year career includes being a senior photographer for Southern Living magazine for 11 years.

This event will take place on June 13 at 7:30pm at Union Hall Theatre, 2 central street in Rockport Village. 

 

The following evening, on Tuesday June 14, photographer and MMW instructor Brian Vanden Brink presents his work.  Brian is often chosen as an architectural photographer by those in the world of residential design. He has been photographing award-winning architecture for three decades. Brian's name is synonymous with a respect for design and passion for light.

This same evening, photographer and MMW instructor Lydia Goetze will also present some of her work.  Lydia is a landscape and outdoor photographer who likes to have her hands on her own images from start to digital fine art print finish. Her work is in private collections and in the Addison Gallery of American Art.

On Wednesday June 15, film editor and MMW instructor Robert Lovett presents.  Robert has worked with many of today's top Directors, such as Robert DeNiro on A Bronx Tale, Francis Coppola on The Cotton Club (Academy Award film editing nomination), Wim Wenders on Hammett, Paul Newman on Rachel, Rachel, Joseph Sargent on The Taking of Pelham 123 and many other feature films, plus episodes of Kojak and The Equalizer and other television films.
