Faculty Presentations the week of July 18 will take place at Union Hall Theatre, 2 Central Street in Rockport Village at 8:00 pm.

Monday, July 18: Sam Abell & Arthur Meyerson

Sam Abell is one of the most experienced and accomplished teachers and photographers in the field today. From 1970 to 2005, Sam worked for National Geographic as a contract and staff photographer and as a Photographer in Residence. He has published three collections of his work: Seeing Gardens, Sam Abell: The Photographic Life, and, most recently, The Life of a Photograph.

Arthur Meyerson is an award winning photographer, who travels throughout the world photographing for advertising, corporate, and editorial clients. A three-time winner of Adweek’s “Southwest Photographer of the Year” award, he is on Communication World’s list of the world’s top 10 corporate photographers and was named one of the 30 best advertising photographers by American Photo.

Tuesday, July 19: Joyce Tenneson & Lou Freeman

Joyce Tenneson's work has been published in books and major magazines worldwide. Her work has been shown in exhibitions worldwide and is part of numerous private and museum collections. She is also the recipient of many awards and in a recent poll conducted by American Photo Magazine readers voted Tenneson among the ten most influential women in the history of photography.

Lou Freeman's career in Photography spans 25+ years, insuring this visionary’s collection of work is as diverse as it is strong. Lou’s expertise, professionalism, and life long commitment to the arts has kept her name and talent top of mind in the Advertising, Fashion, and Fine Home Interiors/Exteriors industries. She has also been a regular featured photographer in the fine fashion magazine Italian Harpers Bazaar.

Wednesday, July 20: Bob Sacha & Henry Horenstein

Bob Sacha is an award-winning photographer, multimedia producer, documentary filmmaker, editor and teacher who first made his name as a magazine photojournalist. Now an independent storyteller, Bob has directed, produced, shot and edited nonfiction video stories for Starbucks, Apple, The Asia Society, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Open Society Foundations, among other international clients.

Henry Horenstein's over 30 books include monographs (Animalia, Honky Tonk, Close Relations, Humans, Creatures, Aquatics, Canine, and Racing Days) and some of the most widely used instructional texts in the field (Black & White Photography, Beyond Basic Photography, etc.). His most recent books are Show (2010), a look at the myriad worlds of burlesque, fetish, drag, and sideshow, and Digital Photography: A Basic Manual (fall 2011).  Now a professor at RISD, Horenstein lives and works in Boston, MA.
