Faculty Presentations the week of July 11 will take place at Union Hall Theatre, 2 Central Street in Rockport Village at 8:00 pm.

Monday, July 11: Bob Krist & David Julian

Bob Krist is a freelance photographer whose work appears regularly in magazines such as National Geographic Traveler, Islands, and Smithsonian. He is contributing editor at both National Geographic Traveler and Outdoor Photographer magazines. His books include: A Photo Tour of New York, Caribbean and Secrets of Lighting on Location.

David Julian is a widely-published and awarded photographer, illustrator, author and mixed-media artist. His publications include Nikon World, PRINT, Communication Arts, Archive, Digital Photo Pro, Rangefinder, PC Photo, Digital Photographer, PhotoMedia, and Adobe Layers. David also partners with Adobe, Wacom, OnOne, Alien Skin, and co-leads a 800-member Photoshop User Group in Seattle.

Tuesday, July 12: Parish Kohanim & Thatcher Cook

Parish Kohanim is a self taught photographer, who holds a degree in film. Commitment, passion and love to elicit and share "simple beauty" is the paradigm of Parish's intuitive philosophy of three decades of photography. Consistently original, diverse, inventive and timeless are the hallmarks of his photography. Parish has always taken the craft of photography very seriously and has never been interested in following ephemeral trends.

Thatcher Cook is a documentary photographer based in Maine and South Carolina. His clients are primarily humanitarian aid and development organizations that work with refugees and other people affected by war, economic upheaval and natural disasters. His clients include international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which have sent him on assignment to over sixty countries.

Wednesday, July 13: Tim McLaughlin & Steve Sint

Tim McLaughlin is a photographer, multimedia documentarian and educator. He is currently a producer at MediaStorm, in Brooklyn New York.  Prior to his move to MediaStorm, Tim was the Director of Multimedia here at the Maine Media Workshops and College. Tim has also worked with the Eddie Adams Workshop, the Rocky Mountain News, the Mountain Workshops and most recently shot a film for the Rotterdam Film Festival.

Steve Sint has photographed over 1 million portraits, taken over 2 million photographs, and shot over 4,000 weddings over his 35-year career. He has also created images for national ads, catalogs, and many thousands of executive portraits. Steve has authored articles for most major photographic magazines and five books on photography.
